Location – Oldham
Hours – 36 per week
Salary – Dependant on age, £5.90 – £7.38 per hour
Open to people aged: 18 – 24 Years with GCSE or equivalent achievements demonstrating passes at Grade C or above in Maths and English
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an innovative charity whilst gaining a qualification in Youth Work.
We are looking for someone who can inspire other young people because of their views, background and personal story and experiences of any of the following; the criminal justice system; youth offending services; drug and alcohol services; family support services; social services; looked after children’s services.
We’d like you to have energy and ideas about how to help young people who might be having the same experiences you have had.
The post is based at Positive Steps and the Post-holder will undertake an NVQ Level 2 in youth work.
We know that it is not always easy for young people to tell others they are feeling lonely and isolated.
You will be taking part in a new project to find out how young people in Oldham feel about social isolation and loneliness. You will act as a champion for young people who are experiencing loneliness and will work with others to find better ways to support them
