Diodes is looking for Equipment Engineering Apprentices, to learn and train in the aspects of providing support to the production group for the repair and maintenance of Wafer Fab processing equipment in order to achieve departmental goals with respect to output, yield, cost and quality.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Develop in the equipment engineering group for support of wafer fabrication process equipment and associated activities
  • To be trained to undertake preventive maintenance and repair of wafer fabrication  processing equipment
  • Understand and apply improvements to impact output, yield, cost and quality as identified by the group
  • Assist and support continuous improvement activities aimed at improving wafer fabrication processing equipment performance
  • Ensure all work is carried out paying proper attention to current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
Essential

Qualifications

 

·         GCSE Maths, English and Science of C or above

Desirable Qualifications  

·         A level Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience  

·      Ability to follow written instructions in the form of equipment manuals and specifications

·      Ability to understand technical diagrams

·      Good mechanical and computer skills

·      Ability to express technical problems in written format
