Role: Play Worker

Location: Royton, Oldham

Start Date: 6th September

Contract Details: This contract is one day a week for the full academic year. Term time only.

The day is flexible and can be negotiated with the school.

 

Job details/Requirements : We are looking for a qualified play worker who is registered with Play Therapy UK. The purpose role is to provide therapeutic play activities for pupils. Applicants must hold a playworker qualification.

Duties: To work with key stage 1 and 2 pupils to provide a safe, exciting and fun space in which to play, socialise, try out new things or just spend quiet time.

To plan and deliver activities such as; Imaginative play, Sports, Drama, Music, Outdoor activities, Den building, Cooking, Creative activities, Listening to a child talk about their worries

To support and facilitate the play process.

Implementing interventions where necessary.

To work in partnership with teachers and teaching assistants, providing feedback and guidance to make sure each pupil’s play needs are being met

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant: Year 6

Location: Royton, Oldham

Start Date: 2nd September

Contract Details: This contract is two days a week for the full academic year. Thursday and Friday 8.20-3.45

Term time only. This is a job share.

 

Job details: This role is to support a pupil in year 6 who has ASD and has an EHC plan. The role is to successfully support the delivery of teaching and learning and to support the pupil in a proactive manner that promotes social and independence skills, and enables them to reach their full potential.

The school are seeking an individual who has a calm, but firm approach to work in partnership with another TA, and the teacher to fully support the pupil in his final year of primary school.

To be considered for this role you must have experience working with pupils with ASD.

A knowledge and understanding of supporting pupils who are high functioning ASD but require support to access academic, social and emotional aspects of their learning is essential.

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team and be able to fully commit to the role.

A level 3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable

Role: Teaching Assistant: Year 3

Location: Chadderton, Oldham

Start Date: 2nd September

Contract Details: This contract is full time, Monday-Friday 8.20-3.45. This role is for the full academic year.

 

Job details: The role is to support pupils in year 3 and to work 1:1 with a pupil with SEND. Knowledge of ASD (Autism) is essential. Experience of basic sign language or Makaton is desirable.

To be considered for the position you must be have;

Level 3 qualification

Experience of working with pupils with SEND on 1:1 basis

Sound understanding of child development and of children’s learning needs

Good behaviour management

Be happy to undertake personal care if required

Be comfortable working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students

Ability to plan in partnership with the teacher and adapt activities for pupils.

A basic understand of sign language or makaton would be desirable

Contract Details: This contract is full time, Monday-Friday 8.20-3.45. This role is for the full academic year.

 

Job details: The role is to support pupils in year 5 and to work 1:1 with a pupil with SEND. Knowledge of ASD (Autism) is essential. Experience of supporting pupils who have speech and language needs is desirable

Experience of working with pupils in key stage 1 and key stage 2 in the classroom, 1:1 and in small groups is essential.  Experience of SEN is desirable.
